| Description: |
Our valued client is looking for a Snr Project Manager to work on multiple IT projects and corporate strategic initiatives.
Permanent opportunity in Ottawa, hybrid (1 day on site to start)
Responsibilites:
- Lead operational, technology, and strategic projects that directly impact clients corporate objectives
- Lead multidisciplinary teams comprised of technical specialists, functional specialists, business subject-matter experts and external stakeholders
- Lead effective project delivery, risk mitigation, financial management, and resource planning, as well as compliance to policies, processes and standards
- Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and drive stakeholder engagement to ensure effective project delivery
- Contribute to the procurement and vendor management processes
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and the development and rollout of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques; provide project management mentorship and training.
Must Have Skills:
- 3+ years’ experience delivering medium to large projects and initiatives, preferably in a matrixed environment
- Experience coordinating and leading multiple, simultaneous project teams across multiple departments
- Experience in financial management and budgeting, including financial estimating and forecasting
- Experience with managing technology, business, strategic, or operational projects, SDLC projects
- Experience in organizational change management
- Experience producing reports on project key performance indicators including project milestones, deliverables, people, financials, schedule, risks, and issues
- Project management software tools such as MS Project and Clarity
Nice to Have Skills:
- Canadian Civil Aviation subject-area and the rules, regulations and standards related to the provision of air navigation services is an asset
- Project management qualification (PMP) or equivalent
- Project management industry best practices for the planning and delivery of waterfall and agile projects, including the SAFe Agile framework
- Estimation and budgeting of OPEX and CAPEX budgets
- Contracting processes, including technical proposals (RFI, RFQ, RFP, etc.)
