Sr Program Director to lead high risk, high visibility, multi-year enterprise transformation projects including a PeopleSoft upgrade within the public sector
Contract: 12 months (12 month option to extend)
Location: Downtown Toronto - Hyrid
Hours: 8 per day
Lead upgrade from Oracle PeopleSoft 9.1 (HR and Finance Modules) on-prem to Oracle Fusion Cloud.
Work with Legal, Procurement and ITC to revise the Oracle Licensing and Support Contract to support move from Oracle PeopleSoft 9.1 (HR and Finance Modules) on prem to Oracle Fusion Cloud.
Work with the System Integrator to deliver the upgrade from Oracle 9.1 to Oracle Fusion Cloud for the Finance, HR and Procurement Modules, using a phased approach.
In order to deliver a large complex, transformational project like this, a seasoned Program Director is needed to help drive alignment with the various business areas, negotiate licensing and support terms with Oracle, and help manage the System Integrator who will be responsible for the upgrade and implementation on the solution.
Accountabilities:
- Accountable for the success of the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) PeopleSoft upgrade
- Lead the integration of all related projects and their deliverables
- Drive the delivery of strategic and transformational change by providing leadership and direction to the projects.
- Develop and maintain communication linkages and relationships internally with project stream leads, business partners, the project management community, and all levels of management and externally with vendors and other contractors as required.
- Provide technical and strategic guidance and expertise to the project team members
Must haves:
- Experience leading an upgrade from Oracle PeopleSoft 9.1 (HR and Finance Modules) on-prem to Oracle Fusion Cloud.
- 10+ years as a Program Director leading high complexity/high risk large scale, multi-year enterprise transformation projects (ERP, PeopleSoft preferred) with budgets of $50MM+
- 10+ years of experience building large multi-disciplinary teams including IT, Finance, HR, Procurement and other lines of business (IT and Vendor Delivery teams)
- 10+ years of experience managing, working, and/or negotiating with third party vendors (including RFP development, execution, and contract management)
- 10+ years of building integrated program/project plans, and their respective budgets, to support the delivery of large scale, multi-phased programs/ transformation projects
- Proven experience working closely in a team product development environment
Nice to have:
- PeopleSoft implementation or upgrade experience
Certifications:
- Certification in project management methodology, such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), or Prince 2 (relevant certification mandatory)
