Description: Our valued client is looking for an Intermediate Desktop Support Technician!

1 year contract, 100% onsite in Ottawa

Responsibilities:
  • Desktop support responsible for resolving end user hardware & software issues, computing, network, telephony and account issues.
  • Maintain Conference rooms & A/V equipment (projectors, televisions, etc.) and support audio/video requirements for events including town-hall meetings, VTC and webcasts.
  • Basic support & troubleshooting of printers/copiers.
  • Windows OS installation support, client health, and deploy windows images to systems
  • Maintain inventory of computer hardware and other IT equipment
  • Assist senior administrators testing and troubleshooting as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Must Have Skills:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Desktop Support Technician 
  • IT related diploma (technician) and/or related experience in an IT user support environment 
  • Experience in documentation, record keeping, follow up, investigation/troubleshooting, problem solving and attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice to Have Skills:
  • audio/visual experience for support of conference rooms
  • Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Experience with M365 and MS Suite applications

 
Specialization and Skills:
Help Desk/Entry Level Desktop Support Technician 2 - 4 years
Priority Requirements: Must be eligible for Gov of Canada Secret Clearance (Must-have)
